If you are a frequent business traveller you know that being constantly on the go can be tiresome and, on some occasions, it can even become tedious. Most travellers have a set of items they cannot do without while on a business trip. We take a look at the most popular (and useful) things you can take with you to make your next business trip less tiresome.

iPad
A relative newcomer on the scene, the iPad is all you need to stay connected and manage your business tasks efficiently when on the move. With it you can make notes during a meeting, send and receive e-mails, work on presentations, check maps and directions, and of course use it as your complete entertainment system. Finally utilising working away from the office is easier than ever thanks to virtual PC networks. Many businesses run their network over what is known as a Virtual Private Network (VPN) which enables users to access the network from remote locations. Installing VPN clients on the iPad is easy and a truly mobile approach to business.
Rolling Luggage
Invest in a good piece of luggage. Seriously. You have probably seen those wheeled briefcases at many airports and conventions. What is so special about them? In the first place, they are made to last. Rolling suitcases are sturdy, secure, and durable, so your personal items are protected even if you travel frequently. Most of them can be taken as carry-on luggage, so they will save you time by allowing you to avoid waiting at baggage claim. And since they are designed having the business traveller in mind, they have built-in organisers that allow you to keep your most valuable items in place and accessible.
Gym wear
Fitness is and should be important to all savvy business people ? a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Nowadays you do not need to interrupt your exercise routine while you are away as most respectable business hotels have integrated gym equipment. If they don?t then simply pop your running shoes on and go for a run ? an excellent release of stress after an intense working day. Packing your gym wear doesn?t need to occupy too much of your luggage space, all you need is a pair of running shoes, a quick-dry t-shirt, and your most comfortable pair of jogging trousers. For the extra keen you could also add a lightweight jumping rope to help you burn extra calories in your hotel room.
Mini toiletries
Although most hotels provide you with complimentary toiletries, nothing beats the comfort of having your favourite brand at hand even (or especially) when you are not at home. Some toiletry brands carry mini-sizes of their most popular products. These are particularly convenient as they comply with hand luggage security regulations. If your favourite brand doesn?t do mini size toiletries, you can buy a travel set of small plastic containers and refill them as needed. If you are doing a lot of air travel then investing in a set of regulation sized containers is an absolute key ? nothing leads to stress quicker than a long wait at an airport to get through customs.
As you can see, there is no reason why you should give up comfort and convenience while you are away on business.
